Our Jobcentres should build our confidence and support us into work. Instead of infantilising tick box exercises and sanctions hanging over every interaction, work coaches should build relationships and personalise support to overcome any barriers together.
Will you invite your MP to our event, to understand what it’s like using the Jobcentre and make sure everyone gets the support they need?
Over the next few years, the government is planning to reform employment support. The priority should be to make us feel secure and confident to take on new opportunities and live independently.
Now is our opportunity to send a clear message: Jobcentres must lead with trust, not suspicion.
You will be able to edit this on the next page if you want to.
