Like our NHS, our benefits system was set up to be here for all of us. But right now, the system is failing the people it’s here to protect. That’s why we’ve launched a new campaign to stop the stigma and fix the system.

We need to send the Minister a clear message: our social security system must treat everyone with dignity and respect.

We agree with the government that we need change. Our social security system should give us security when we're not well and confidence to find our next career move - not leave people feeling ashamed, undeserving and stuck.

Most of us (71%) believe that claiming benefits should not be shameful. But it’s not enough to just believe it. We need to act.

Because EVERYONE in the UK deserves a social safety net that supports them when they need it.
